Job Description :

Position : Application Developer

Location : Hyderabad.

Experience : 1 - 3 years

The Application Developer is responsible for the design, development, testing and maintenance of all enterprise application enhancements for MFG/PRO eB2.1 using PROGRESS 4GL on UNIX environment. This includes interfaces/integrations build with third party applications like Agile, BMI, Vertex, and ClipperShip

The AD will work with project team in managing the code base used in the development, testing, and training environments with assistance from the DBA’s.
Design and develop systems to meet business requirements by following development methodologies and procedures.
Perform Unit tests for code units.
Provides tier 2 and 3 support for all development applications.
Serve development needs on major projects and work as part of the Implementation team (reporting to the global project manager).
Troubleshoot issues with existing or developed systems, working with the appropriate internal resources to resolve them in a timely manner.
Participate in research and development efforts for application development frameworks, tools and methodologies.
Assist operations team in their implementation of enhancements, upgrades and patches by assisting with the testing/analysis.
Work with other team members to resolve data performance issues, locking constraints and issues that arise with application processing or other common issues arising in a distributed architecture.
Participate in sharing knowledge with other teams/team members.(Share knowledge of MFG/PRO with other teams).
This role requires 1-3 years of experience in the fields of application and database design and development. The AD will be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures of application and database design, interface design and management.
The AD will work under the supervision of the Applications Development Team Lead.
